This workshop meets Friday and Saturday, August 22 & 23, 2025, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm each day with a lunch break

Make a silver brooch which is a flower holder around a fireable core. Then also make the flowers to sit in the holder. This workshop allows so much room for personal design, from the textures, how it is constructed, different flowers, etc. Techniques employed include using textures, carving using either hand tools or rotary tools, syringe work, sculpting and using moulds, thereby catering to a wide variety of abilities. Also learn how to embed a brooch finding. There can be the opportunity to do some simple soldering to make some wirework sprigs, if you complete the main part of the the project.

A $20 kit fee will be collected by the instructor during the workshop.

This workshop is part of the Metal Clay Artists Symposium and requires the purchase of the General Registration.
